[edit]Your addition to List of The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes episodes has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other websites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. -5- (talk) 09:37, 26 March 2011 (UTC)
Hi there, your edit summary here, "Restore Australian DVD releases, sources already stated, use a web search!" is delightfully snippy! However, per WP:BURDEN, the burden is on the contributor, you, to provide sources when making changes, and especially when challenged. Your comment "sources already stated" is unhelpful, as we do not expect readers to pore through the article's edit history to find references. References should be added as inline citations. In this case I have added the references for you, next time, please add them yourself. Thanks, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 20:27, 4 April 2015 (UTC)
- No references are listed for any of the DVD/VHS releases on the All Grown Up! page, so I don't see any reason a reference should only be required for recent DVD releases. This wasn't the case of an upcoming release, that didn't actually exist yet. The publisher, and country of origin were clearly stated in the comment for the initial edit to that page. You reverted my changes out of ignorance, rather than even attempt to verify the details. References should be added for all the DVD/VHS listed, if you really feel references are required to prove every single DVD/VHS release actually exists. Kirben (talk) 22:42, 4 April 2015 (UTC)
- You are arguing from the position that since unsourced content exists, you are exempt from providing sources. That is a ridiculous position, and my greater point is that any editor with integrity should strengthen the project by adding sources. Explaining your source in the edit summary is insufficient, because that's not where references go. And per your note that I reverted out of ignorance, yes, I surely did; "Ignorance" means "lack of knowledge". I cannot "know" if you do not reference. So, please reference. Not even sure what your point was unless you intended to insult me. If that was the case, it didn't work. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 04:15, 5 April 2015 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
